The Octopus Ring in Vogue Brazil

It all started back in 2012 when the designer decided to carefullyexamine an emerald in order to enhance the stone’s beauty and position it specifically between the index and ring finger. After considering several shapes, the design of the ring saw its proportions grow to cover two fingers in an exotic effect of rare beauty – for the designer, this specifically suggested the image of an octopus’s tentacles. This creation, now in three unique models, was on the cover of Vogue Brazil’s jewellery section in their November 2015 issue.

The article explained the emergence and rise of the Octopus Ring, the brand’s first 2-F Ring, asone of its iconic pieces of high jewellery. Therefore, when coming up with new versions of this idea, Ara Vartanian created unique designs from the original model, based on three exquisite choices of gems: a 23.91ct Black Diamond, a 27.76ct Paraiba Tourmaline and a 29.94ct rubellite in an arrangementwith inverted diamonds.
