PULSAR
In astronomy, pulsars are neutron stars with strong magnetic fields, considered to be the beacons of the galaxies. In Ara Vartanian’s universe, this idea was translated into star-shaped earrings, rings, and pendants for the Pulsar collection. Diamonds, rubellites, rubies, and opals are the main protagonists of the pieces, which give the impression of being in constant motion.

TWO AND THREE-FINGER RINGS
“The initial intention was not to make a two-finger piece: the idea was to create a ring that would carry a stone with over 15 carats and not flip. The structure was a consequence of this search: the stone was set with its deepest part between the two fingers and a lower center of gravity. Because of this, the stone does not flip, and the ring became more comfortable. Many of the innovations we make are geared towards comfort.” – Ara Vartanian

HOOK EARRINGS
Another icon of Ara’s work, the Hook earrings have an anatomical design that wraps around the earlobe and helps distribute the weight of the piece better. With a perfect fit, the model gained versions with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and blue sapphires. “The objective was not beauty, but to create a structure for heavier earrings. I believe that jewelry must be comfortable – if it is not comfortable, the work has not been done well enough.” – Ara Vartanian
